If you're concerned about potential health risks and environmental impact of prolonged, frequent use of household cleaners containing strong chemicals, natural disinfectants provide a suitable alternative.
Some of the best natural disinfectants include hydrogen peroxide, vinegar, hot water, and some may include essential oils for fragrance.
Did you know it has been proven that hydrogen peroxide is more effective at killing some forms of bacteria than other ammonium compounds? Yes, that's true!
Also, peracetic acid is an organic chemical compound that is a very effective antimicrobial agent and is highly effective against a broad range of microorganisms.
More on Sanitizing
The US Centers for Disease Control & Prevention (CDC) defines a sanitizer as,
" (an) agent that reduces the number of bacterial contaminants to safe levels. "
Sanitizers lower the number of germs on surfaces to a safe level not necessarily killing germs.
Additionally, a sanitizer registered with the Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) has been approved as a chemical that kills 99.999% of the specific test bacteria in 30 seconds under the conditions of the test.
ArmiClenz™ Disinfectant is a registered sanitizer with the EPA.

Disinfection; What is it, exactly?
A disinfectant, according to the CDC definition is,
"(usually) a chemical agent (but sometimes a physical agent) that destroys disease-causing pathogens or other harmful microorganisms but might not kill bacterial spores."
Disinfectants must be registered with the Environmental Protection Agency (EPA). Earning the EPA registration as a disinfectant means the EPA has evaluated and tested the product to ensure it conforms to efficacy and safety standards.
ArmiClenz™ Disinfectant a registered disinfectant which has been clinically proven to eradicate 99.999% of bacteria and other disease-causing pathogens or harmful microorganisms in 10 minutes, when used as directed.

Answer: Yes, ArmiClenz works great as a wash for leafy vegetables including romaine. Cleaning leafy vegetables with ArmiClenz is important because water alone simply can't remove many of the oil-based chemicals used for growing vegetables. Also, imported produce from other countries may have been exposed to chemicals that are not allowed for use in the U.S. Even organic fruits and vegetables can contain pesticides, handling residue, soil and bacterial decay. When you want your leafy vegetable really clean, it's time to use ArmiClenz!
Directions for Use: This product can be used for non-porous foods. Spray or dip raw or fresh fruits, vegetables, herbs, sprouts and spices. Apply this product for 60 seconds. A post application rinse is preferred but optional.
